Kim Quintero
Kim Quintero joined the news team as a Weather Anchor/ Reporter in December 2007.
Kim comes here from Fresno, Calif., where she worked at KMPH, the FOX affiliate. There, she dabbled in everything from Floor Crew, Video Production, Assignment Editing, Reporting and Weather Anchoring while finishing college. She got her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Fresno State University. Now the former "Bulldog" is working towards getting her Meteorology Degree and AMS seal. Kim was born and raised in the Central California town known for its rich agriculture, dry/hot summers and diverse cultures. She remembers interesting vacations to Mexico with her family when she was a small child. Her first encounter with Oregon was on a trip to Bend in 2002 where she had her first experience mountain biking and whitewater rafting. In her spare time, Kim experiments with cooking (strong emphasis on 'experiments'), loves to shop, fulfills an obsession for Starbucks, goes to the gym and meets great people in the community. This is Kim's first time away from Fresno, and she's eager to make this her new home. If you have any story ideas, questions or comments, contact Kim |
