Tom joined the newsroom staff as Reporter/Anchor in January 2005.
Before his arrival to here, Tom was news director at KPNW Radio/Eugene for 14 years and worked on the staff at KUGN Radio from 1988 to 1990. His past television affiliation was with KMPH-TV in Fresno, California in the 1980's.
In his spare time, Tom is an avid golfer. And his musical life is an active one, as he plays lead tenor sax for the Lincoln Pops Big Band and plays engagements in Newport, Gleneden Beach and other points on the coast.

KVAL News filed a public records request with the fire department for inspection reports on the mill. In reports dating back to 2010, inspectors found code violations, including a lack of maintenance on the mill's sprinkler system; fuel storage violations; and various electrical problems.
