Smitha George

Smitha George is proud to be anchoring and reporting in Eugene at the area's leading news station. She considers it an honor to be invited into your homes every night and talk about the stories that matter to you.

Born and raised in the Seattle area, Smitha attended the University of Washington where she studied Communications and Political Science.

She began her broadcasting career producing, editing, and reporting at KOMO Newsradio (Seattle, WA), where she also reported nationally for ABC News.

Smitha loves people, coffee shops, and hearing what others are passionate about. She enjoys meeting viewers, so if you ever spot her at the grocery store, come say hello! She'd love to hear your story and swap recipes with you!

Smitha also shares a love for all things Northwest: the trees, mountains, water, as well as crisp fall days; but says she'll take all the sunshine she can get.

If Smitha wasn't in broadcasting, she'd love to be involved in ministry or dermatology because she loves helping people feel their very best.
