Carley Gomez joined KVAL news in April of 2012. She produces the 6pm newscast and reports on general assignment stories during the day.
Previously Carley worked with the news show “OC Insight” in Orange County covering in depth issues such as budget issues with California Universities and thriving new demographics.
She began her career interning at Fox News Channel in Los Angeles, where she was given the opportunity to report on entertainment events like the Oscars and Grammy’s.
Carley considers herself a true Californian, being born in San Diego, growing up in Orange County, and graduating high school in Northern California. Carley attended Cal State Fullerton where she received her BA in Broadcast Journalism and minored in Radio, TV, and Film. She loves learning new things and getting caught up in investigative television shows.
You can probably find Carley at sporting events on the weekends or watching football games at home. She also enjoys going to the gym and finding great new restaurants.
