Courtney is excited to now call Southern Oregon home! She is coming to the Beaver State from Spring, Texas a suburb of Houston.
Courtney was a four year Division I softball player at Sam Houston State where she also hosted a weekly radio show on 90.5 the Kat and reported the weather live on Cable Channel 7 News in Huntsville, Texas.
After graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Sam Houston State University, she traveled to the big apple as an intern for Dan Rather Reports in the summer of 2012.
One of Courtney’s most memorable moments is interviewing Dan Rather about his most recent book “Rather Outspoken: My life in the News” and having Mr. Rather as her mentor last summer where she learned from some of the most passionate editors and producers in the business.
Most of all, she has a passion for storytelling. Courtney’s love for journalism came at a young age as she became an avid viewer of Good Morning America in middle school. A huge sports fan, she can’t wait to attend her first Ducks game!
Courtney loves country music, good food, and her family. She enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places. If you have a story to share or want to get in touch with her you can email her or follow her on Twitter @Courtney_News.
