Lindsey Riley joined the KVAL team as the weekend Weather Anchor and General Assignment Reporter in July 2012.
She comes to us from Beaumont, TX where she worked for CBS affiliate KFDM-TV. While in Texas, Lindsey was the lead Investigative Reporter and fill-in Anchor. She is an AP award winning journalist. Lindsey has won several awards from the Press Club of Southeast Texas. In 2012, KFDM won an Edward R. Murrow award for best newscast which featured one of Lindsey’s stories.
The Northwest is where Lindsey started her career while working at KPIC in Roseburg. You may know her better as Lindsey Kovacevich. She is recently married and is excited to be back in Oregon. Lindsey is ready to dig up stories that matter to Oregonians.
She has traveled everywhere from Thailand to Europe and believes that gives her an advantage as a well rounded journalist.
On her off time, Lindsey loves reading, being outdoors and has a passion for the game of football.

On average, kids are in the foster care system for 2 years. Ten percent five or more years in the system.
