November Heart Gallery children

By Kendra Schmitt

Efforts are being made to place children into loving, permanent homes, such as 'The Heart Gallery'.

Often times, children who are older or are in sibling groups, are overlooked.

This months Heart Gallery children is a group of brothers and sisters who want to grow up together.

Makayla, Natalie, Joey and Matthew love playing together.

We met them at Lone Pine Farms, on one of the wettest days, but that didn't stop the giggles and the smiles.

We took a tractor-pulled hayride out to the pumpkin patch. As soon as we unloaded, the children scattered.

Two year old Matthew seemed to know exactly what to do.

Ten year old Makayla and almost eight year old Natalie found their prized pumpkins and we all hauled them back to the wagon for the ride back to the barn.

The children's caseworker says, these four are looking toward the future and the girls are working on getting along.

While the girls are outgoing and excelling in school, Joey is perhaps delayed, Matthew appears to be right on target.

But of all the cases she's had, Brandyn Miller says. these children are the most well-adjusted.

Just being around then, you could see the big girls obviously love their little brothers and the family that adopts these four will have, not just a full house, but happy, full lives as well.

For adoption information call (541) 954-9626, which is the Heart Gallery contact phone number.
