(Shelly Kurtz speaking)

In this morning's Heart Gallery story, a little girl who's been waiting a long, long time for her forever family.
This is Dorrie...and she is ten years old this month. She's an adorable little girl....big brown eyes, brown hair....a big beautiful smile.
Her caregiver says, she's very bright and has a terrific sense of humor.
She loves to draw....you can hear her singing in the house,...she writes stories and like many little girls her age, is a huge fan of Hannah Montana. She even has a Hannah Montana wig.
Dorrie does well in school....she likes all the subjects she's learning.
Dorrie's caseworker is looking for a family for this spunky little girl, who can be around, supervise and guide her....it might be helpful, too, for them to attend family counseling, during her transition time.
Although Dorrie does well with adults and older children, she has problems with kids her own age.
She has moved around a lot and building relationships for her has been tough.
But, she is in an after school program right now, enjoying playing African drums, hip hop dancing and kicking the soccer ball around.
