Heart Gallery - Shirell

It's time to celebrate the season....and one 11 year old girl is carving pumpkins to get in the spirit. Shirell is this morning's heart gallery child.
11 year old Shirell is a girl with a lot of interests and abilities. First of all, she loves shopping and new clothes. Everything she had on was new, so i asked her to model. She loved showing off!
Shirell's case worker, Honor Harvel told me Shirell has a lot of focused energy, so we put that energy to work on pumpkin carving! Neither one of us had used stencils, before.... She chose a fun skeleton face for her white pumpkin....and I settled for the word, 'boo'. And, we both got to work. Turned out it was harder than we thought...but it got us to talking about a lot of stuff...including the family of her dreams.
She wants her new family to have a baby sister.
