Sheriff seeks info about murder victim's truck
Heather Thompson By KPIC.com staffROSEBURG, Ore. - Did you see a maroon Ford F-150 pickup with California plates between Aug. 1 and Aug. 6? If so, investigators trying to solve the murder of Heather Lynn Thompson want to talk to you. Thompson, 39, was found dead on her property Aug. 5. No one has been charged with her killing. On Aug. 26, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office issued a press release asking for the public's help. Investigators would like to talk to anyone who saw Thompson vehicle between Aug. 1 and Aug. 6. Her car is described as a 2002 Ford F-150 XLT extra cab pickup with California license ASHARP5. The vehicle is a maroon color, it has a hard shell bed cover, no front grill, and has minor damage to the passenger and driver side front fenders.
