ROSEBURG - A Roseburg girl will represent the state in the National High School Finals Rodeo after winning the Oregon High School Rodeo Queen title last week.

Molly Stubblefield, a senior to be at Roseburg High School was crowned last week at the State High School Rodeo Finals in Klamath Falls.

Molly not only won that title, but she also qualified in the break-away roping event with a 4th place finish. She will go to the nationals in both categories. That comes up in less than 3 weeks in Farmington, New Mexico.

"I will be competing in two events at the national finals and that's pretty cool," said Molly. "There's only one other queen that's ever done that in the history of Oregon High School Rodeo."

It's been a long time since and Oregon girl has won the national title, and she would like to change that. "I would love to be able to bring it back to Oregon. It's been 34 years since Oregon has won the National High School Rodeo Queen contest and I think it would be amazing to bring it back.especially to Roseburg."

Being the queen is a big commitment. She will have to attend rodeos all over the state as the Miss Rodeo Oregon

Molly will hit the road in July, heading to Farmington the High School National Finals.
