ROSEBURG, Ore. -- This last weekend we saw some amazing classic cars, pickups, hot rods and others driving around Roseburg showing off their rides, and now the truckers will have a turn.

The Umpqua Community College will be hosting a Log Truck Show-N-Shine this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on the Round Prairie campus.

It will feature many different truckers from around the area showing off their rigs.

County Commissioner Joe Laurance will be donating his famous Kenworth James Bond 007 Special Edition log truck. "We are delighted to give this to UCC so they can train another generation of log haulers, that we hope will serve Douglas County and it's industry. We are very exited about that opportunity," said Laurance.

Joe says tuckers take a lot of pride in their rigs, and keeping them looking good is a reflection of their business and personality.

"Often times, a little extra money is devoted to making that truck look shiny and they are very proud of it, and an opportunity for a show and shine is just every bit as important to the truckers as it is to the car groups we saw here last weekend at Graffiti."

Prizes will be given out to first through fifth place and there is no entrant fee for truckers.
