ROSEBURG, Ore. (AP) - Deputies say a 39-year-old man has been jailed on 60 counts of arson after setting a brush fire near Interstate 5 in Douglas County with a butane lighter and lighter fluid.

Firefighters said they found more than 60 separate fire ignition points at the 1.5-acre blaze Sunday near the town of Glendale.

Deputies say the fire was reported, and firefighters put it out quickly.

The man, Anthony Reed, also was accused of multiple other charges, including harassment and interfering with a firefighter.

Deputies say a firefighter confronted Reed setting a fire, and Reed shoved the firefighter to the ground and punched him.
