GLENDALE, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's department, Oregon State Police and the Major Crimes Team are still searching for the suspect who shot and killed one woman and seriously injured another near Glendale.

The Douglas County Sheriff's department responded to a shooting off of Azalea Glen Road Thursday night and found one woman dead and another in critical condition.

The victims have been identified as Helen Long, 88, who sustained serious gunshot wounds.

The second woman, Long's daughter, was identified as Barbara Tooley, 59, of Damascus, Ore. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

About 25 officers are still investigating the case, canvasing neighborhoods and trying to get any information from the public who may have witnessed the suspect.

Jeff Wheaton from the Sheriff's Office said, "The people that have actually seen him are very consistent with the description that we gave out to the press at first."

No arrests have been made but police are now investigating several leads regarding a missing SUV.

Police are looking for a late 90's to early 2000 black Toyota 4Runner type SUV, or pickup with canopy.

"That sounds pretty consistent with what people have seen in the area, and it does appear to be possibly related to our suspect. So, we're really trying to get people to keep their eye open for that," said Wheaton.

If anyone has seen a vehicle similar to their description you should contact the the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
