GLENDALE, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for new volunteers to recruit for their Search and Rescue Department.

Many of those trained volunteers were in Glendale on Friday to help search for clues in the shooting of the two women on Azalea-Glen Road earlier this month.

It was a chance not only for investigators to search for more evidence, but also to give the volunteers some hands on training in what the Search & Rescue does.

Wayne Stinson of the Search and Rescue program said, "We're doing an evidence search for the criminal division there at the Sheriff's Office, and also we use any of these opportunities like this to provide training as well as conduct a search mission."

They combed the area along Azalea-Glen Road where the shooting took place on October 1, looking for anything that might help police solve the case.
