CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- As the month of October winds down, breast cancer awareness events are still in full force.

This weekend, Douglas County Cancer Services hosted a tea and fashion show to promote awareness around the county.

The 10th annual show was at the Seven Feathers Casino Convention Center over the weekend.

Several hundred people came out to support finding a cure.

The theme for the show was 'Putting on the Ritz.'

Ladies from around the county brought out their sequins, feathers and flowers as part of the events Best Hat competition.

The event was to honor survivors, focusing on their strength and finding a cure.

Survivors were invited to participate in a fashion show with our very own weatherman, Seth Wayne MC'ing the event.
