ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Roseburg Parks Department has installed six new directional maps along the popular multi-path system in Roseburg.

The the new maps were done with financial assistance from Cascade Community Credit Union.

Parks officials say the signs were originally discussed by the city in 2005 and listed as a priority capital funds project in the 2008 parks master plan, but  limited funding had kept the project from completion.

Cascade Community officials say it was a way for them to promote their Pathfinder checking account and make physical improvements to the bike and pedestrian paths at the same time.

In recognition of the project's completion, the Roseburg Area Chamber of Commerce Greeters Association held a dedication and ribbon cutting Tuesday evening at the Stewart Park natural area at the south end of the pond.
