A Days Creek teenager has been arrested and charged with the murder of a Canyonville man whose body was found in a remote area east of Milo.

Sheriff's deputies say an autopsy positively identified the body of 27-year old Kevin Omann of Canyonville.

His body was found in a remote area off the Tiller-Trail highway Monday.

Police say information led the Major Crimes Team to focus on a Days Creek teenager as a suspect in the death of Omann.

Tuesday afternoon, detectives arrested 16-year old Austin Clark and lodged him in the Douglas County Jail.

He has been charged with murder in connection with the death of Kevin Omann.

"Detectives with the Major Crimes Team did develop a suspect in this case, a 16-year old youth from the Days Creek area.

Yesterday afternoon, this same individual was arrested during a traffic stop here in Roseburg, and he was lodged in the Douglas County jail on a murder charge in connection with death of Kevin Omann", Douglas County Deputy Dwes Hutson said about the case.

Omann was reported missing to the sheriff's office on September 11th.

The Douglas County Major Crimes team is still investigating, but so far they say Clark is their only suspect.

If anyone has information about this case they should call the Douglas County Sheriff's office at 440-4471.
