WINSTON, Ore. -- Plaid was the style this weekend in Winston.

The Douglas County Scottish Society once again took over Riverbend Park.

Organizers say the 20th annual Celtic Clan Gathering and Highland Games went off without a hitch.

There was live music, caber tossing, and of course, haggis.

Officials we spoke with said the weekend-long event was a fun, family friendly way to celebrate Celtic roots. Therese Kaiser, president of the Douglas County Scottish Society, told KPIC News, "It's to promote our Scottish and our Celtic Heritage. That's what it's all about, to teach the people. This is a promotion of our families."

The event kicked off Friday with a free concert, and continued Saturday and Sunday.

All together, officials say about 3,000 people attended the gathering.
