ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Northwest Community Credit Union is celebrating the opening of a new branch in Roseburg.
Officials are celebrating the opening this Thursday at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new branch features state of the art electronics, including fingerprint technology.
But officials with the Credit Union say one of the biggest changes at the new branch isn't the new gear. The building doesn't have teller windows, and officials say that opens the lines of communication. "The whole concept is to create an atmosphere of conversation," said area manager Melva Mackey. "Banking is more about an experience, than actually just making a deposit or making a withdrawal."
The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:00 a.m., followed by an open house.
