Oregon gas prices drop slightly

By Associated Press

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Oregon gas prices have dropped ever so slightly - six-tenths of a penny, to be precise.

The price for a gallon of regular unleaded hit a record high on July 3 at $4.294. But AAA of Oregon said Tuesday in its weekly summary that the statewide average for regular unleaded was at $4.288.

Although the world price of crude oil is down $9 a barrel from last week, as concerns about a conflict with Iran and supply disruptions subsided, AAA says it expects prices to rise in coming weeks.
