Natural gas heat is budget-conscious winner this winter
By Associated Press and Fisher StaffWASHINGTON, D.C. - People who heat with natural gas may have a little extra money to burn this winter. If you use natural gas to heat your home it will cost you at least $100 less than other fuels this winter, according to the Energy Information Administration. And there's another bonus: your natural gas heating bills should be about $105 less than it was last winter. Households that use fuel oil, electric heat or propane will also be paying less than last year. It's partly because of lower fuel costs, and partly because of an expected milder winter. On average, you'll pay the following:
