ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Many students will be heading back to school this fall with shiny new backpacks, tons of blank paper and perfectly sharpened, brand new crayons.

But not every family is able to afford to the basic supplies.

To make sure that no student will go without this school year, Rock-N-Wingz is holding a school supply drive. Owner Larry Lian, says he wants all kids to be prepared to learn, without the distraction of not having what they need. "There's a lot of kids out there who can't afford school supplies: paper, pencils backpacks. And it's important that they get their education and to be able to go to school and learn," he said.

The supplies are going in a large bucket at the front of the store, and Larry says they'll be distributing them to local schools.

They're offering those who donate either a free regular hand cut french fry or coleslaw.

The drive will run through the end of August.
