Now's the time to shop for tools
Want to save money on tools? This may be the time to go shopping.
Lindsay Sakraida with DealNews.com says they analyzed thousands of deals posted last year and found that many stores put tools on sale in July.
"It's tied with November and December, but in terms of this time of year, July is a really great time to be stocking up on maybe tool sets or accessories or storage units, if you really need to get some work done on your home," Sakraida said.
Sakraida says they're also seeing some great sales on digital SLR cameras. And that, she says, surprised them.
"Typically, July is not that notable for digital SLR cameras," she said. "November and December are much better, but in recent weeks we've actually been seeing numerous models from Canon and Nikon, the two big manufacturers. These models are coming in at all-time low prices. So, it's a little unusual, but if you need a new digital camera, it's worth shopping around and doing some price comparisons right now."
Deals News says you may see some sales on patio furniture, but the best prices are usually in September and October.
