Need a flu shot? Get a free one this weekend

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The flu has finally come to Oregon, but if you're not sick yet, there's still time to get a vaccine.

Luckily, people aren't out of options when it comes to where to get one.

Many places around the state are running low, but in Douglas County there are still flu shots available.

If you're looking to save a little money and stay healthy, this weekend is your chance.

The Umpqua Community Health Center is offering free vaccines this weekend.

Brenda Lewis, the development coordinator for the clinic, says they are trying to make sure everyone has the opportunity to get the important vaccine. "There's so many reasons that folks may not have had their flu shots, and so, we want to make it easy and remove barriers for people that have them," Lewis said.

A UCHC nurse will be at the 2013 Health and Fitness Expo at the Roseburg Valley Mall from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this Saturday.

The free flu shots will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Lewis says they're only able to offer shots to adults.
