ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Hundreds of people will gather this weekend to show their support for those fighting addiction.
The 5th annual Ramble for Recovery is taking place this Saturday at Stewart Park.
Organizers say the event is a time to celebrate those in recovery from addictions.
Substance abuse affects millions of Americans every year, and officials are hoping to raise awareness about addiction, and what friends, family and community members can do to help.
The Ramble is a 5K run or walk. Registration will start at 9:30 a.m., and the race starts at 10:30 a.m.
It costs $20 to take part, but those in recovery can race for free.
The event is in conjunction with national Drug and Alcohol Recovery Month and Suicide Prevention Week.
Those in attendance will not just get to take part in the race, as there will also be a resource fair, voices of recovery awards, entertainment, food and more.
