CAMAS VALLEY, Ore. -- A house in the 18000 block of Highway 42 in Camas Valley caught fire Thursday morning, and officials were concerned, as the trees around the house caught on fire as well.
The fire was reported just before 11:00 a.m., and according to Douglas County Dispatchers, residents in the area were moving vehicles away from the home. Law enforcement was called to the scene, due to people re-entering the house after firefighters warned them to stay out.
According to neighbors, the blaze looked as though it started in the back bedroom and spread throughout the house, eventually also catching a tree on fire.
Crews from Camas Valley Fire, Winston-Dillard Fire, Lookingglass Fire and the Red Cross were all dispatched to the scene.
officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
