ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Sportsman's and Outdoor Recreation show is kicking off Friday.
Crews have been out at the fairgrounds all week, setting up for this weekend's big event, where they are expecting around 13,000 people.
Organizers say that there's a little something for everyone at this show. Activities from boating, hiking, fishing and biking to scuba diving and gold mining will all be represented.
Co-producer Joe Pate, says that the show represents nearly every outdoor interest. Basically, if you're looking to do anything outside, you'll find products or information on it at this weekend's show.
"We hope to demonstrate the breadth of outdoor recreational opportunities on the market," said Pate, "in an area that is, of course, steeped in outdoor recreational opportunities."
Also at this weekend's event will be the Wild World of Wolves, a show that features four live Alaskan Timber Wolves.
Patrons can also expect a 50 foot fish tank full of huge catches, a mule deer legends of the pacific northwest display and the Remington mobile marketing trailer.
There are even a few activities for kids to get involved in, like the live trout pond, archery range and shooting gallery.
There will be talks, demonstrations and presentations on a wide array of topics.
If you are interested in stopping by, the show runs on Friday from noon to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for kids under 12 and anyone under five is free.
