PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - More than 80 members of Oregon's Air National Guard are headed to the Middle East for four months.
Most are from 116th Air Control Squadron based in Portland, and three are from the 270th Air Control Squadron based in Klamath Falls.
A mobilization ceremony was held Friday afternoon in Portland. Gov. John Kitzhaber, U.S. Rep. David Wu and Maj. Gen. Raymond Rees joined other government and business officials for the sendoff.
