ROSEBURG - Douglas County Fair officials announced their talent lineup Friday, for this summer's fair.

There are some popular names from the past, and some current big name country performers, that will be entertaining this year.

The fair starts on Tuesday August 5th with country star Rodney Atkins.

Wednesday August 6th, the Doobie Brothers will entertain.

Performing on Thursday August 7th Is Bad Company former lead singer Brian Howe with special guest Edgar Winter Band

Friday August 8th is Kellie Pickler, the country music sensation from American Idol.

Fair Manager Harold Phillips announced the lineup Friday morning, and said he felt it was the most balanced lineup they've had. "Across the board just good entertainment, solid entertainment for everybody all week long. I don't think we have the Poison, we've got to brace ourselves for, in terms of the crowd that's going to be there, but I think we're going to have a good crowd every night, I think it's the music, the entertainers themselves are ones that everybody is going to want to come to see."

Former Douglas County Outstanding Teen Julia Kehoe, who is a teen ambassador for the fair, said there will be a lot of other nice attractions too.

"It's the second year for the teen zone, and we have the Bi-Mart Stage and Radio Disney is going to be performing on that, and they're so much fun because they're so energetic and really get the crowd involved," said Kehoe. "But there's going to be a lot of acts, a lot of stuff, fair food, rides, and we're going to have some hypnotists, and magical acts, and we're excited about that."

This year's fair is August 5th through 9th, and premium reserved tickets will go on sale at the fairgrounds office at 8:00 o'clock in the morning of Saturday May 3rd.

For regular seating in the Umpqua Park Amphitheater, the concerts are free with admission to the fair.
