Corvallis exhibit a reminder of the cost of war

CORVALLIS, Ore. - A sober reminder about the casualties of war is staked in the ground at Oregon State University.

The Iraq body count shows the human cost of the war in Iraq.

Each red flag represents five Americans dead, while each white flag represents at least five Iraqi's dead sine 2003.

Organizers said this is a non-political display, and that the numbers speak for themselves.

"You know we count our own dead and that's depressing enough but to think about all these innocent civilians killed that's quite a statement," said Corvallis resident Albert Stetz.

The exhibit runs through Wednesday, May 15.
