2 vehicle crash closes Winston off ramp
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- A two vehicle crash has the northbound off ramp at the Winston interchange closed.
The crash was reported at around 10:15 a.m., and officials had to close the off ramp at milepost 119.
Authorities at the scene told KPIC News that both vehicles were heading onto the freeway northbound, with a red pickup in front of a green Suburban.
OSP troopers say that the driver of the pickup, Gregory Alan Falk, 58, of Canyonville, tried to pull off the road suddenly to answer a cell phone, and that's when the Suburban ran into it.
The Suburban, driven by David Allen Comer Jr., 44, of Winston, was left on it's side, while the pickup was found sitting on it's top.
Authorities say there were no serious injuries in the crash. Falk had minor injuries to his forehead, while Comer had some cuts on his arm.
Jo Pedrola from Douglas County Fire District #2 says this is a good example of why wearing a seat belt is so important. He says if the occupants hadn't been, the outcome could have been much worse.
Dr Greg is a fool / rip off, because he never paid his bill with me years ago. and nothing has changed. He only thinks about himself. He probably blamed the other driver.
idiots and cell phones
