Magnitude 4.2 earthquake felt in central Ore.

MAUPIN, Ore. (AP) - A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was recorded near the central Oregon town of Maupin.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake occurred about 11:45 a.m. Monday, and the epicenter was about 7 miles southeast of Maupin.

According to the agency, the quake's depth was about 13 miles.

The Wasco County sheriff's office said it received no reports of damage or injuries.

Quakes of that magnitude are common in the Maupin area.
