ROSEBURG, Ore. -- A Days Creek teenager that's accused of murdering a Canyonville man was in court Monday morning, as attorneys prepare for a late summer trial.

Charley Carnes, 19, faces murder charges in the death of Kevin Omman of Canyonville in September of 2007.

Omann's body was found in a gravel pit near Tiller.

Attorneys in the case said they were on track for the September 29 trial in Judge Joan Seitz's courtroom.

A pre-trial conference is set for September 14 in Judge Seitz's court, to make sure they are ready for the trial.

The co-defendant in the case is 18-year-old Austin Clark, whose trial has been set for February of next year.

Both were juveniles at the time, but both will be tried in adult court.
