ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The 70th annual Douglas County Lamb Show wrapped up Saturday night with the annual Rotary Lamb Auction.

The event features youngsters from all over the county from 4-H and FFA clubs showing off their lambs that they've cared for and raised in the last year.

The big junior market lamb auction was held in the arena, where hundreds of the lambs were housed for the show.

4-H and FFA clubs from Glide, Sutherlin, Riddle, Camas Valley, Roseburg, Oakland, Tenmile and other areas around the county brought their prize lambs to show to the judges.

The higher they place, the more likely they are to get a good price at the auction.

Many of the kids use the money from their lambe to start their next lamb project.

The popular Lamb BBQ was a big hit again, and several other events were going on at the same time, that included the wool showcase, open dog agility competition, BBQ cooking and table setting competitions.
