Man wanted by authorities arrested after short standoff

DILLARD, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff's Office received information on Monday, that a man wanted on a statewide warrant was staying at a cabin in the 100 block of Brockway Road in Dillard, a small town south of Roseburg, Ore.

Denny Daniel Decamp, 32, was wanted on a felony warrant for Parole Violation.

At about 10:00 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff's Office and officers from the Winston Police Department responded to the residence and attempted to contact Decamp.

Decamp initially refused to come out of the residence.

The Douglas County Dispatch Center used the Citizen Notification System to place an automated phone call to citizens within 1/4 mile of the incident.

Citizens were notified of the incident and told not to approach the residence.

At about 11:30 a.m., officers were able to make phone contact with Decamp and he agreed to come out of the residence.

He was taken into custody without further incident and lodged at the Douglas County Jail.
