Sheriff: $500 reward for armed and dangerous man

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The sheriff has offered a $500 reward for the public's help locating a man who "may be armed and should be considered dangerous."

Nicholas James Varnum, 24, of Roseburg, Ore., is wanted by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office on a felony probation violation warrant.

If anyone has information as to Varnum's whereabouts they should call the Douglas County communications center at (541) 440-4471 or the Sheriff's Office tip line at (541) 957-2099.

Varnum may be armed and should be considered dangerous. Citizens should not approach or attempt contact with him.
