WINSTON, Ore. -- A small dog bit a recycling center employee on the hand as the worker reached into the cab of a truck Wednesday.

The Douglas County Environmental Health Division is asking for the public's help locating the dog for observation purposes.

The bite happened on Wednesday at the Recycle Center on Thompson Street in Winston, Ore..  An employee at the Center was bitten on his hand by one of two small black and white pug or boxer breed dogs as he reached into the cab of a newer, white Toyota Tacoma extra cab pickup.

The dog’s owner appeared to be an older male adult, about 6 feet tall, thinly built and possibly wearing glasses.

Anyone with information about the dogs or their owner should contact Douglas County Environmental Health Division at (541) 440-3569 or Douglas County Animal Control at (541) 440-4471.
