A loaded cement truck weighing 14 tons tips over on Hess Lane west of Roseburg Thursday evening.

The accident happened about 5:30pm Thursday evening, as a full load of cement was heading to a job and the driver was trying to avoid some trees, when the wheels slipped off the gravel road into the ditch and it went over.

The veteran driver wasn't hurt but a little sore and workers had to cut the drum off to upright the chassis.

They worked to save the load before it hardened by spraying water on it. They were able to salvage some cement, and the barrel too.

It took a couple hours to get it all cleaned up and on their way.
