By KPIC.com staffELKTON, Ore. -- An autopsy revealed new details about a decomposed body found along the Umpqua River last week, but the identity of the person and the cause of death remain under investigation. Prior to the autopsy, officials could only say the remains belonged to a human being with long hair with silver streaks who was wearing an Oregon State sweatshirt. The body was too badly decomposed to identify the person's gender. After an autopsy this week, investigators now know the body belongs to a man between 30 and 50 years old. He had light skin, was about 5-foot-6-inches tall, and weighed between 170 and 180 pounds. He had shoulder length curly black hair with silver streaks. He was wearing several layers of clothing including blue denim jeans, a 1997 Green Bay Packers Super Bowl sweatshirt, a black and orange Oregon State Beavers sweatshirt, a red Chicago Bulls jacket and size 8/12 New Balance tennis shoes. The cause of death is still under investigation. Nothing suspicious was discovered during the autopsy, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said. If anyone has information about this individual they can call the Sheriff's Office at 541-440-4471 or the tip line at 541-957-2099.
