ROSEBURG, Ore.--Over 32 cowboys from all over the west participated in the Maddog Bull Riding event at the fairgrounds on Saturday night.
The top 6 riders got paid, with no one scoring more than 81, and the lowest score being 70.
There was a scary moment during the event when one of the riders got stomped by a bull.
One of the bull fighters came in to help, but he was thrown, and later trampled. Both men ended up being ok and were able to walk away under their own power.
The big winner of the night was Jake Surratt who took the first place prize money. You may remember Surratt who also took the top prize at the Umpqua Valley Roundup's Bulls and Barrels event back in January.
Of course no rodeo is complete with out muten busting. Some of the kids were a little worried about getting on but most of them did a great job of staying put before they eventually had to fall off.
None of the kids went home empty handed as everyone got a medal for participating.
