HURON, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A 3-year-old girl was found Monday morning, alone in a field less than a mile from her house.

An Amber Alert was issued around 7:45 Sunday night in Huron, located in west Fresno County.

The child, Tanya Ruiz, was found about 8:15 a.m., according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Tanya appeared in fair condition and was taken to a hospital to be checked for injuries, the sheriff's office said.

The Amber Alert suspect is still outstanding.

The girl's mom told police that she left Tanya in her car when she went into her home. When she came out, the girl was missing.

A witness told police they saw a man riding off on a bike with a child.

The suspect is a Hispanic male about 5-foot-9 and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt and red hat. He also has long hair.

Crimestoppers has issued a $1,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the kidnapper. People with tips can remain anonymous by calling (559) 498-STOP.

The FBI has also offered an unspecified reward, the sheriff's office said.
