WINSTON, Ore. -- Nathan Mitchell, a very special Winston fourth grader, has a passion.

At the McGovern Elementary School in Winston, he got to perform it at the school's talent show.

"Well, I did the weather report, it was so fun," he said.

He started doing weather reports a few months ago, and he's been hooked ever since. "Oh it's been great. I first started it when I was in summer school, and it was amazing, what I saw, I was so blessed."

Nathan is autistic, but he didn't let that stop him from getting up in front of his entire school. "I had some little troubles sometimes, but it's still fun to do that."

Even though he's only in fourth grade, Nathan already has his future planned out.

When KPIC News asked Nathan if he is going to be a weatherman when he grows up, he said, "Yeah, I believe so."

And, after his performance, he's already on his way to achieving that dream.
