South Umpqua senior Cameron Reese has been a driving force behind the resurgence of the Lancer baseball team this season, which sits atop the Far West League after a rough start in the non-league pre-season.
Reese has been strong on the mound for the Lancers, and is their regular six-hole hitter in the line-up.
He also plays center field. "As soon as we got to league, we started out at 2-0, and we just sort of got on a roll at bat, and now we think we can win the league title and that's what we're trying to go for," he said.
He was also a first-team all-leaguer in basketball this winter.
