Car exhaust sparks brush fire near Glide

GLIDE, ORe. - The Douglas Forest Protective Association responded to a natural cover fire Tuesday afternoon, 6 miles Northwest of Glide near North Bank Road.

DFPA arrived on scene a little after 2:00 p.m. and found multiple fires burning alongside a road in the North Bank Habitat Management Area.
All together, the fires burned about two acres of grass and brush before the blaze was suppressed.

Firefighters were able to determine that a faulty exhaust system on a vehicle was the cause of the fires.
