Classes will help residents prepare for disaster
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Officials from the state emergency management department will be holding clinics in Douglas County for people who want to learn more about being prepared for a tsunamis or earthquakes.
Oregon Emergency Management Geologic Hazards Coordinator Althea Rizzo and other state and federal agency experts will be holding free preparedness workshops concerning tsunamis and earthquakes in several Oregon communities in March.
The American Red Cross and other emergency responders will be on hand to answer questions as well.
