This maker of concrete ping-pong tables thinks they have a solid proposal for investors

ROSEBURG, Ore. - Bravado Outdoor Products is one of five companies with a shot at winning $125,000 from the Rain Angel Investment.

Their product: concrete table chess and ping-pong tables.

"We have a really neat product," said Lem James, owner of Bravado. "It's fun, people like to play ping-pong, people like to touch it, and it's just permanent for the next 50 or 100 years."

The tables weigh up to 2,500 pounds each. Assembled in Roseburg, the tables have been installed around the world from rooftops in San Francisco to parks in Doha, Qatar.

"I think that we can show growth as well as a large market waiting to be filled, so it's a good opportunity for us, it's a good opportunity for some investment as well," James said.

Cornering the right market was key for Bravado making the top 5, but there's one more element that's just as crucial to their delivery: teamwork.

"Ultimately an angel investor is investing not just in a product but in the right people to bring it to market," said Alex Campbell, executive director of the UED Partnership. "Inevitably the product will change but the team will stay the same."

The winner of the prize investment will be announced November 13.
