DINT: Major meth dealer arrested

SUTHERLIN, Ore. -- Officials with the Douglas County Interagency Narcotics Team have arrested two people, one of whom they say is a major meth dealer in the area.

For the past few months, DINT has been investigating a man they say is a meth dealer named Robert Grimes, 56, of Sutherlin.

DINT Commander Curt Stricklin says Grimes was getting a large supply of meth from the Modesto, CA, area.

Authorities say he used local people to sell the meth.

On Tuesday night, DINT officers arrested Jeanne Martin, 35, for unlawful delivery and possession of meth.

During the arrest, police say she had four small bindles of meth in her clothing.

Officials say the arrest was a result of DINT making a controlled buy of meth from Jeanne Martin several days earlier.

On Wednesday at about 9:00 a.m., DINT served a search warrant at Robert Grimes' residence in Sutherlin.

Officials say they found drug records, digital scales with meth residue, syringes, several plastic baggies with meth residue, a revolver and over a pound of combined marijuana and hashish.

Grimes was taken into custody at his residence.

He was then lodged at the Douglas County Jail on multiple drug charges and a firearms charge.

DINT was assisted by the Sutherlin Police Department.
