Deputies arrest woman after alleged physical altercation

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- A woman was arrested early Wednesday morning, and her husband cited and released, after Sheriff's deputies responded to an alleged physical fight.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, deputies were sent to a residence in the 1300 block of N. Pacific Highway, to a report of a physical fight between a male and female.
When deputies arrived, they say Grace Eileen Grisham, 31, and Joshua Grisham, also 31, were both intoxicated, and had in fact been involved in a fight. Deputies say there were children in the home.
Grace told deputies that her husband had spit in her face, smashed her cell phone and cut up her backpack with a knife. Joshua told deputies that his wife had punched and slapped him, leaving marks on his body.
Authorities say Joshua was cited at the scene and released, and Grace was lodged in the Douglas County Jail. Deputies charged her with harassment and disorderly conduct.
Her bail is set at $5,000.
Myrtle Creek police assisted deputies at the scene.
