Deputies say man gave pot to teen girls

COOS BAY, Ore. -- A Coos Bay man was arrested Wednesday and charged by the Sheriff's office with giving marijuana to two 14-year-old girls.

Deputies say that they went to Bay Area Hospital for a report of a possible assault victim there.

After arriving and contacting the victim, a 14-year-old female, it was learned that an assault had not occurred.

Deputies say the girl had gone to the hospital after feeling sick from smoking marijuana with a friend earlier in the night.

Officials say they found out Jeffrey Decker, 19, of Coos Bay, had given the two girls, along with another 18-year-old female, the marijuana.

Deputies say Decker was located at his residence in Coos Bay and arrested for three counts of Unlawful Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Decker was taken to the Coos County Jail, where he was lodged.
